CDP is seeking a highly motivated individual to work as a Senior Project Officer in Green Supply Chain Program with skillsets in data analysis and research as well operations, communications to support the highly motivated and ambitious Supply Chain program at CDP China office. The key areas of responsibility include, creating content and customizing tools to facilitate Chinese companies in CDP climate disclosure, conducting industry-specific research on low-carbon transition, generation of data analysis and strategic insights from sustainable supply chain perspectives, and providing operational support to the Supply Chain team. Attention to detail, data analysis skills, efficiency and the highest-level of organization are fundamental to this role.

Key responsibilities include:

• Customize guidance and tools (such as bite-size guidance, gap analysis, benchmark report, feedback template) that align local context in China and global low carbon transition under the Paris Agreement;
• Conduct research on supply chain/procurement sustainability and EHS in China, such as solution providers and gap analysis, to identify ways to develop our supply chain offering;
• Operational assistance and relationship management support for supply chain program manager;
• Support program partners in advancing their sustainable supply chain strategies across climate change, deforestation and water security impacts through analysing suppliers’ data reported through CDP and developing recommendations and improvement strategies;
• Conduct in-depth data analysis of environmental performance of companies;
• Actively cooperate with other teams to effectively manage stakeholder relationships;
• Create content for webinars, events, and stakeholder meetings;

You will have the following skills and experience:

Essential criteria:

• Master degree and/or bachelor degree in major of environment, climate change, energy or sustainable development area with minimum of 2+ years’ full time work experience in relevant fields.
• An interest in data analysis and in using and maintaining databases;
• Experience working with GHG accounting, sustainability data, and /or water / forest and within a corporate environment a plus;
• Be self-motivated and result-driven;
• Good business communications experience and a very strong command of business language, with ability to interact convincingly with people at different levels of seniority and different cultural backgrounds;
• The ability to deliver excellent results under pressure with strong organisational skills and attention to detail;
• A clear understanding of the aims, objectives and processes of CDP and CDP's supply chain program and a strong conviction about CDPs impact;
• A good team player with the ability to work with colleagues around the world;
• Demonstrated project management and coordination skills;
• Advanced in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook；
• Confident verbal and written communication and presentation skills both in English and Mandarin;

Desirable criteria:

• Experience in a client relationship management (CRM) program;
• Familiarity with procurement and/or supply chain management functions;
• Strong organizational and planning skills both at strategic and operational levels;
• Ability and willingness to work in a multi-national team with virtual communication (MS Teams etc);
• Knowledge or experience in marketing communications is a plus.

Term and Benefits:

The role will be a full-time position based in Beijing office. This will be a 3-year full-time contract with the potential to extend based on working performance and funding situation.

We offer a competitive salary and social, health and housing funds in accordance with local regulations, with 20 days’ vacation per year (increasing to 25), in addition to national holidays plus commercial supplemental healthcare, etc. Interested applicants must be eligible to work legally in the China.
