Responsibilities

• Explore the use of new technologies related to DevOps and PaaS, including k8s, monitoring, CICD, API gateways, tool chain integration, automated operations, etc., and put the solution to the ground
• Upgrade, improve, operate the existing PaaS platform system and related components, advancing the process of platform automation
• Develop best in class solutions into PaaS platform to enhance/ build up platform functions’ availability, extensibility, scalability, compatibility, etc.
• Leverage breakthrough IT technologies to build applications, i.e. leverage public cloud like Azure, AWS and platform solutions like Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Kubenetes, ELKG
• Continually review and evolve existing platform architecture to adopt leading IT methodologies i.e.: micro-service, container, continues delivery/deployment, ITIL
• Design and develop automated processes to maintain, upgrade, test, monitor CI/CD DevOps pipeline for the tool chain (GitLab, Jenkins, TFS, Artifactory, Scanning tools, ALM, uDeploy)
• Provide operations engineering for the DevOps tool chain
• Work with DevOps Architects to design test environments and production environment for CI/CD tools
• Leverage your exceptional ability and motivation to solve problems and learn quickly
• Provide technical thought leadership in identifying and implementing new uses of information technologies which assist the functional business units in meeting their strategic objectives

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related majors
• At least 3 years of software development experience, intermediate level of all relevant professional skills
• Proficient in at least one of Java, Python or GO languages, with application development capability
• Experienced in OpenStack or OpenShift development
• Proficient in working in Linux environment
• Familiar with the basic concepts of K8S
• Ability and willingness to solve operational problems programmatically
• Keen on innovation, brave to explore new technology and practice
• Familiar with change process and security control process
• Keen to improve code quality
• Have basic knowledge of PAAS and basic concept of SRE
• Basics in Disaster Recovery strategy, Performance Optimization, Cluster solution operation, Application Performance Management (Monitoring)
• Responsibility for the quality of code/solution created, Stress tolerance
• Expected to implement functionality without direct supervision
• Expected to participate in phone conferences
• Be interviewed by customers, supervised customer visits
• Good communication skills
• Upper Basic (CEFR A2) or higher level of spoken and written English

Desirable

• Familiar with one or more of the following languages: Bash, Python, Java, Node.js, PHP. etc.
• Strong system admin background, be familiar with administration of popular Linux OS like CentOS, RedHat, Ubuntu, Debian etc.
• Experienced in one of the popular public clouds: Azure / AWS / GCP, etc.
• Experienced in IT operation, also with experience in one of the below domains: CI/CD, Container Orchestration, Logging and Monitoring, Micro-service, Infrastructure, Operation Automation
