Tasks
You will contribute to development of robotic application software. You need to understand different robotic applications and extract real requirements from customer and application expert, then do software design and implementation work. And, industrial market is known for being extremely demanding with respect to quality, therefore, extra attention to the quality of the output is needed.
You will be fully integrated into day-to-day operations. Your role and responsibilities are defined by both needs in your particular area of expertise and the needs in the group. The following shows examples of responsibilities and activities:
- Work as research engineer in R&D department and acting as task or work-package manager.
- Act as an active team member, contribute with knowledge and competence to other activities
- Independently solve technical problems by applying expertise within your area
- Contribute to improvement of our operation and increase customer satisfaction according to requests
- Understanding the key business drivers for ABB and R&D
Requirements
To be considered as a candidate, you need to fulfill the following requirements:
- Major in Computer Science, Mechanical, Automation or equivalent
- 1~3 years’ related working experience
- Good skill level in Web development
- Be familiar with mainstream Web development language/tool, such as Javascript/
typescript - Knowledge of HTML5 language/CSS/JSON
- Knowledge of software design pattern
- Ability of proficient communication in English
- Ability of problem solving, teamwork skills and time management
- Positive attitude to work, engagement in the tasks and a strong result-orientation
In addition, the following skills and experiences would be a plus:
- Development experience of Vue.js
- Development experience of Web 3D like Babylon.js
- Development/test experience of robot/ automation/system
- Development experience of Microsoft Azure application
- Development experience of Electron
- Knowledge/experience of auto-testing/DDD
- Knowledge of Agile development process
