Description:
This position uses the Logistics Planning Process to populate the Plan for Every Part, deploying material flow plans and new pull material replenishment processes.
This position supports the development and deployment of a visual workplace for every value stream that displays standard work for material replenishment to the point of use, movement and storage. Actively supports improved communications to employees designed to support change management as new processes are deployed.
The incumbent works with other supply chain functional areas to continuously improve material flow plans, focusing on improving inventory record accuracy, waste reduction and increased throughput efficiency, increased velocity and increased inventory turns.
This position works with Packaging Engineers to deploy improved packaging and containerization that optimizes effective handling and throughput for suppliers, carriers, 3rd party providers, material handlers and line operators.
Create, maintain and communicate accurate change management data (Material Master and MBOM) through data entry in CBS. Assist engineering, process and supply chain with defining MBOM Structure based upon engineering design and apply this structure within the CBS system. Analyze engineering drawings and notices to determine and create procurement item master data, product structures definition, and technical procurement criteria in the CBS Releasing system. Address issues dealing with engineering design and change implementation requirements,
Qualifications:
Completion of the Cat U Order-to-Delivery, Supply Chain Core and CPS Team Leader Training
Completion of CPS Yellow Belt, Yellow Belt + and Green Belt Training
CPS Functional Job Role Qualified
APICS CPIM or CSPC National Certification highly desired
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
College or university degree, preferably in Supply Chain and/or Logistics Management
Minimum of three years of supply chain or related field job experience
Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, organization and communication skills
Thorough understanding of company policies and procedures
Ability to design and deploy lean systems in a highly productive environment with minimal disruption to daily requirements
Experience as a 6 Sigma Green Belt
Experience with the CPS RIW and Value Stream Transformation process
BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:
A background in Manufacturing, Inventory Management, Material Requirements and/or Supply Chain/Logistics is highly desired.
