This position is established to oversee day-to-day accounting operations in all EC entities and make sure compliance with finance policies and SOPs. He/She will lead monthly closing process and ensure the integrity of financials. Meanwhile, an involvement of new business initiatives is required for accounting assessment and process setup.

w  Lead the financial closing process, including setting close calendar, review and approve manual journal entries, coordinate sub-ledger closure, monitor open item clearing, etc.

w  Oversee intercompany transactions for media and non-media and coordinate with AXP and EC Treasury team to make sure the relevant journal entries are processed timely and accurately

w  Review and approve monthly financials, B/S account reconciliations and guide team for any open item clearance

w  Responsible for improvements of existing processes and systems to drive efficiency

w  Support external and internal audit; and assist in complying with Sarbanes-Oxley Act

w  Update local accounting & finance policies and SOPs with relevant financial controls to make sure the accuracy of the financial results of the business by understanding the global accounting structure and local market practice

w  Support finance projects and business initiatives, such as new accounting principle adoption, new business modelling and accounting assessment, contract review, ERP optimization, etc.

w  Coach, develop and supervise the work of team members

w  Ad hoc projects as required if any

 

w  Bachelor degree or above with a major in Accounting or Finance

w  Minimum 8 years relevant experience in MNC, 2 years in a manager role. CPA or equivalent accounting certificate is a must

w  Strong understanding of PRC/US GAAP and statutory regulations

w  Experience with ERP system is a must, Yonyou/Oracle implementation experience is a plus

w  Good communication skills, with fluency in English and Chinese

w  Strong sense of responsibility, good team work spirit and attention to detail

w  Ability to multi-task and drive actions to completion under strict deadlines

w  Positive “can do” attitude and highly analytical; enjoys challenges

w  Action-oriented and solution-driven with the ability to thrive in a fast pace environment

w  Proficient IT skills including Excel and Outlook
