Title: Medical Affairs Manager - Oncology
Job Purpose: 

• Provide disease expertise to solid tumor/hematology TA and work out a fit China medical affairs-development strategy
• Lead and drive the planning processes, data generation, establishing and communicating the medical strategy for the China solid tumor projects, closely working with TA head and aligned with global strategy
• Lead, develop and implement a local Medical Strategic Plan for medicines within the Oncology therapy area 
• Managing research budget and budget forecasting processes for assigned products and therapy areas
• Leads Medical asset strategy and tactical implementation as part of Core member of Global Medical Affairs Team and Integrated Evidence Team
• Provide clinical/scientific input and support in data generation activities not limited to registrational trials, e.g. site visit, training CRA on study design, act as speaker in investigator meetings, support ethics approvals, data review, regulatory filings preparation, support inspection from China local side
• Identifying areas of research interest and developing timely local study protocols which advance the scientific understanding of our medications
• Evaluate and manage investigator-sponsored studies to advance research on disease and its treatment, aligned to the areas of research interest
• Assess and drive new indication approval in product lifecycle management along with to provide medical plan for pre-launch, launch and post-launch medical plans
• Input to clinical document of Chinese data for filing and publication, interpret clinical trial data and participate in China healthy authority interaction
• Supports regulatory and ethics approvals for China local trials
• Engages with relevant individuals including thought leaders, institutions and societies to generate medical insight
• Organizes and/or conducts Medical Advisory Boards Meetings/Expert Panels and participates in Investigator Meetings
• Provide expert scientific product and disease knowledge and trusted medical leadership internal cross-functional teams
• Deliver external engagement excellence characterized by timely, responsible and responsive interactions with the external medical and scientific community to achieve a two-way trusted scientific partnership
• Provide scientific assessment of pipeline products to enhance the local and the global development plans that maximize the scientific understanding of these potential future assets
• Interact with global teams to influence global clinical development plans in order to optimize patient access to innovative medicines in China
• Provide scientific strategic input to the regulatory and reimbursement teams to allow GSK to demonstrate the value of GSK products to achieve optimal product labeling, reimbursement outcomes and patient access at national or provincial level as needed
• Support the TA Director in the review of all medical grant and donation requests (including Independent Medical Education requests) and congress sponsorship requests to ensure alignment with therapy area strategies.
