We are looking for an R&D Manager at HVDC, Grid Integration business unit in Beijing. You will lead a team to develop and create products, systems, services and technologies for global HVDC unit. In this position, you will work in an agile development environment of High voltage products for transmission networks (HVDC and FACTS), creating value for your internal and external customers as part of a world-class team of professionals.

- Leading the R&D team including different competences such as mechanical designers, control engineers and project managers.
- Coordinating the work of local and cross-functional project teams.
- Leading tasks in the team together with the business management, steering groups, product management and external stakeholders.
- Manage R&D resources with the responsibility of people development.
- Establish proper connection between the local team and global R&D team.
- Living core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues, and the business.

- M.Sc. or PhD in a relevant field.
- Experience in project management in HVDC development and working experience with multi-cultural team.
- Practical experience in leading agile projects using Agile/Lean methods.
- Experience of HVDC valve development.
- An innovative and creative attitude and mindset.
- High written and spoken communication skills in English.
