Job Purpose/Role

  

Based in Shanghai, this role is to lead the Claims team in China and contribute to achievement of

  

profitable and sustainable growth in the frame of Euler Hermes Group strategy trough development and

  

implementation of a proper BU Claims strategy.

  

 

  

Key Responsibilities

  

-Managing all aspects of Claims including Technical Assessments, reporting, reserve management,training and supervising.

  

-To ensure perfect coordination with lawyers to mitigate loss and maximize recoveries for the company from the potential failures or failure of companies where we are exposed.

  

-To ensure the most efficient use and allocation of resources through constant review and improvement and finally to provide appropriate service levels which support customer satisfaction objectives.

  

-To manage all our clients across China for Claims related matters while coordinating regularly with our regional teams and fronting partners.

  

-Negotiate claims settlement with Insured and work with Legal Representatives when necessary; handle objections to claims through negotiations with policyholders/ Depending on Customer segment, communicate on Commercial decisions about claims partially/not covered.

  

-Implementation and monitoring of the Claims Quality Standards

-Suggest and implement improvements of existing processes

-Analyze, initiate, monitor and decide on orientation of a case in amicable, legal and insolvency stages domestic or international.

  

 

  

Key Requirements/Skills/Experience

  

-Minimum 5 years of relevant experience is preferred

  

-Strong communication skills to convince and negotiate with key stakeholders on claims decisions.

  

-Knowledge of contract law, local insolvency procedures and/or experience in international trade preferred.

  

-Customer skills: ability to anticipate client’s needs, improve service and satisfaction

  -High analytical skills with strong attention to detail
