职位描述
Duties and Responsibilities
? Work with portfolio companies and assist company to obtain best price for products &tooling at the required quality and service levels
? Locate qualified suppliers necessary to support sourcing needs in various manufacturing categories such as molding , stamping, welding fabrication, castings extrusion, machining of parts and manufacturing of components
? Contribute to RFQ creation, quote analysis, supplier selection, and supplier contract negotiations
? Act as the technical and sourcing interface between suppliers, engineering/purchasing personnel from Sun Capital's portfolio companies
? Work with portfolio company's technical teams to ensure the integrity and clarity of engineering drawing requirements and that all expectations are communicated effectively to suppliers
? Conduct on-site factory assessment and supplier evaluation and provided recommendations to portfolio companies
? Investigate alternate component technologies to reduce cost or improve quality
? Organize quality review meeting with suppliers and report results to portfolio companies
? Maintain knowledge of commodity trends including industry trends, cost drivers, lead-times and technical/manufacturing processes
Qualifications and Experience
? Undergraduate 4 year degree required in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or another technical 4 year degree
? Strong verbal and written English ability to communicate with global engineering/purchasing personnel
? 5 years work experience in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial engineering, auto parts, or injection molding industry
? At least 2 years working experience in purchasing within an international company and relevant exposure to western business needs and practices
? Communication and Interpersonal - strong verbal skills, effective listening skills; demonstrates high energy, and models behavior to self- motivation
? Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification a plus
? Good understanding of Lean Manufacturing as applied to sourcing activities
