Job Title: Mechanical Lead
Report to: Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Shekou, China
Summary & Overview:
Be responsible for maintaining all mechanical equipment on offshore platform. Ensure all mechanical maintenance activities are carried out in a safe, efficient and professional manner, all equipment achieve expected availability and reliability.Especially should be familiar with the work principle of Diesel Engine
Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate, supervise, execute and control work related Maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of all offshore Mechanical and rotating equipment, and lifesaving equipment to meet KPIs set by the company.
2. Direct, supervise and control the work of mechanical technicians and helpers to ensure that all activities are carried out in safe, efficient manner in compliance with company's policy, regulations and procedures.
3. Responsible for conditioned based monitoring maintenance, first line troubleshooting and repair of all rotating equipment.
4. Plan yearly work programs and budget for offshore Mechanical Section and execute the work programs accordingly while controlling the expense to be within approved budget.
5. Fully understand and execute the work as per the company's HSE policies and procedures. Ensure all subordinates and co-workers strictly observe and comply with all company safety regulations.
6. Provide on the job training, coaching and support to all mechanical technicians. Coordinate training plan execution to further improve their competency, job knowledge and skill.
7. Program, Implement and monitor the mechanical maintenance program in Computerized Maintenance Management System (C'WORK), utilization of his section i.e. up-to-date records for all work activities, including PM procedures, job cards and equipment histories.
8. Assist electrician, instrument and operator to fulfil other related maintenance tasks.
9. Be responsible for ordering spare parts and tools, update the stock of offshore mechanical materials, follow up and archive the related documentation.
10. Cooperate with onshore engineer to prepare the design of upgrade and modification of various equipment and process optimization, and arrange to implement based on the design under the guidance of Maintenance Supervisor.
11. Responsible as a member of platform emergency response team (ERP).
12. Act as Maintenance Supervisor in his area of responsibilities if assigned during his absent.
13. Have the right to refuse implementing the unsafe instruction from superior during operating
Education & Qualifications & Experiences:
1. Engineering degree (Preferred), or other relevant expertise.
2. 5 years' offshore experience within the Oil Industry on mechanical equipment maintenance.
3. Good understanding of Offshore Operations' Mechanical equipment.
Required Competencies and Skills:
1. Strong self-motivating work ethics and good planning and leadership skills.
2. Basic understanding in offshore Health, Safety and Environment regulations, standards and procedures.
3. Basic computer skills in general and in Computerized Maintenance Management System.
4. Basic English speaking skills and writing proficiency.
5. Able to work in offshore harsh environment.
