POSITION TITLE
Web Application Designer
POSITION DESCRIPTION
REPORT TO: Web Application Team Lead
The Web Application & Content Web Team is responsible of designing web applications, microsites, animation for banners and other digital marketing assets for internet and/or intranet.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To convert original design concepts (proto-types) flawlessly into front-end HTML code
2. To help create and maintain high-end, effective web sites
3. To work closely with the back-end web development to implement quality web sites
4. Principle internal work relationship: IT Web Development Team, Product Marketing Team (specific to translations), Marketing Service Creative Team, Head of Web Development.
5. Main process, system and tools in use: XHTML, DHTML, HTML5, CSS, XML, JavaScript, jQuery, MVC / OOP architectures, AJAX, ActionScript 3, Photoshop, Illustrator, SQL, JSON.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Essential Experience & Knowledge:
1. 5+ years of relevant working experiences.
2. In-depth experience of using the following technologies within a commercial environment: HTML, HTML 5, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, XML, Photoshop
3. Be fully conversant on browser compatibility issues and web maintenance process
4. Proven track record to designing and delivering high quality web sites
Desirable Experience & Knowledge:
1. Experience of the following technologies: JQuery, Mobile front-end development, Visual Studio
2. Knowledge of the following technologies: ASP.net
3. Experience of using commercial content management systems (esp. Rhythmyx)
Personal Characteristics & Attitude:
1. Detail-oriented and highly organized
2. Able to work within a team and contribute to team discussions
3. Strong communication skills in local language& English
4. University degree ideally in a technical field, e.g. Development, IT
