The Engineered Solutions China Manager is with his/her team responsible for managing and coordinating all activities and operations in regard to sales/ marketing and project management (order realization) for the Engineered Solutions department (All relevant ES opportunities including but not limited to Live Fire Simulation and Breathing Gas Systems) to meet company’s business targets and agreed sales volumes and obtain maximum growth and profitability. He/she has profit and loss responsibility and furthermore develops and implements policies and procedures to meet the objectives of the company’s sales strategy.
The Engineered Solutions China Manager is with his/her team responsible for managing and coordinating all activities and operations in regard to sales/ marketing and project management (order realization) for the Engineered Solutions department (All relevant ES opportunities including but not limited to Live Fire Simulation and Breathing Gas Systems) to meet company’s business targets and agreed sales volumes and obtain maximum growth and profitability. He/she has profit and loss responsibility and furthermore develops and implements policies and procedures to meet the objectives of the company’s sales strategy.
岗位职责
Strategic sales plan & budget
- Develop and prepare annual sales and expense budgets in accordance with formal requirements detailed by the Director of Sales & Service
- Maximize the sales development through business plan and develop and implement sales strategies that enable the company to achieve its corporate objectives
- Develop and control the budget for the assigned function to ensure that all financial targets are met and that all necessary financial controls are in place to comply with company and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to the development of the company’s corporate strategy, particularly in relation to sales & service objectives
Marketing/ market development
- Explore and develop market for project opportunity (Or strategically decide what are the focus segments?)
- Attend and participate in necessary trade shows and similar meeting in the purpose of displaying and promoting Dr?ger project
- Keep an awareness of the competition, their strengths, weaknesses, sales and marketing methods and philosophies and liaise internally and/or with Headquarter (HQ)
Sales target achievement
- Monitor and generate sales of projects to ensure sales goals and market share, defined in objective plans, are acceptable to assigned area according to the experience
- Develop and continually update sales funnel via CRM system
- Exercise day to day control of sales staff to ensure conformance with sales policies and monitor activities enabling achievement of budget goals
- Train, manage, and motivate sales staff in the use of Dr?ger projects and ensure they display satisfactory sales presentation techniques supported by capable technical understanding of the project
- Foremost task is to develop the ES business within Greater China. This will strongly involve Business Development indirect (via dealers and agents) and direct with customers.
- Ensure that agents / dealers are properly supported, trained and evaluated, keep dealers and sales support specialists highly motivated
- Oversee the activities of distributors, agents or independent representatives, or Dr?ger staff involvement with distributors, agents, or independent representatives in relation to selection, motivation, and compliance with Dr?ger policies selling Dr?ger project in the assigned territory
- Maintain direct sales continuity with key customers in assigned area
Commercial activities
- Ensure all contract signed are legally protected and minimum risk to Dr?ger
- Oversee bidding process such as tender, proposal (technical and commercial), costing & margin, terms & conditions and risk assessment, pricing, technical drawing and calculation and deliverable to minimize all negative impact to profit and penalty
- Ensure all project sales have the necessary approval such as GGP (Global Gross Profit) target from Finance, Management approval from Asia Pacific and Headquarter
- Be responsible for contract management in terms of pre-screening all partner/ distributor and end customer, document control and sales channel partner risk assessment
Project Management
- Supervise project status, delivery, technical competence, budget, documentations with OR team for pre-sales and during project phase
- Ensure project meets all contract requirement and deliverable
- Minimize project overrun
Support to Region
- Assist Region to lower the overall project cost to capture market opportunity and increase profit by building system / components locally with support from HQ for quality and technical compliance
Leadership
- Lead and manage subordinated employees including headcount planning, recruiting, review and assessment of employees’ performance, professional development and coaching, compensation review, and health & safety, motivation and enabling employees to optimize their contribution to the department
- Monitor and control the work of the team
Others
- Assure the confidentiality of the customer list and other sensitive company information
- Ensure all expenses are controlled and managed within budgetary guidelines
- Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor / manager
