职位描述

Title: Sr. Purchasing Manager
Report To: Operation Director
Subordinate: 12
Location: Suzhou

This position is required to design and implement the company's purchasing strategy for various commodity materials and all direct/indirect materials with alignment to total business direction & priorities, and to develop a global supply base that facilitates low cost, high quality and timely delivery of material to production in factory. This role requires demonstrated knowledge and innovation of materials sourcing and purchasing in a continuous improvement environment that supports the activities including develop low cost and high quality suppliers/products, negotiate favorable terms and conditions for the company, shorten the overall lead time of the material supply by providing oversight role for vendor managed inventory and consignment programs. Ultimately to make supply chain of the company a competitive advantage of the business.


Job Responsibility:

- Develop and implement purchasing strategy that aligns to total business direction & priorities, and drive long term efficient supply of raw materials for the company in terms of cost, quality, delivery and service.
- Develop, monitor, and maintain active cost reduction programs for the company thru multiple sourcing, value engineering or global purchasing alignment.
- Responsible for negotiating and approving material costs, volume allocation and purchasing contract; drive a continuous improvement environment that exceeds annual cost reduction targets.
- Develop and enhance supplier relationships to maintain market intelligence for product construction techniques / manufacturability; new material awareness and facilitate a competitive advantage.
- Continuously improvement on purchasing procedure and supplier management including database, product, VMI, process sustainability, corrective actions, etc.
- Regular report to management for purchasing performance including TTI, KPI, RC, CM, APs, and keeps management advised of any developments that may affect supply chain operations
- Engage and inspire teams to meet or exceed job responsibilities, while also working to build talent for succession planning within the organization.


Requirements:

- Bachelor degree or above in Business/Commerce or Engineering.
- Over 8 years of working experiences both in Sourcing and Purchasing or Supply Chain in a multinational company. Have proven track record of local sourcing achievement and purchasing process improvement from previous experience.
- Fluent English in reading, writing and speaking; must have CET-6 or higher qualification in English.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and generate results in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of product costing, distinguishing between BOM components, direct and indirect costs.
- Excellent team and individual leadership skills: strategic agility, decision making, analytical, team building and organization skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; be able to work effectively across multiple functions and business colleagues.
