职位描述

Purpose of the job: The job is to grow the sales of CBS products in Northern (Beijing) and Central (Chongqing) China provinces through developing the existing Herman Miller Dealer network and identifying new sales opportunities. The successful candidate is expected to become the CBS product champion throughout the region and work closely with all HM Sales personnel to ensure that CBS is specified on all projects. It is also expected that the successful applicant will actively source new opportunities through direct targeting of Architects and Designers and end user clients.  


Job Description:

  • Meet and exceed individual CBS target for Northern and Central China  

  • Gain an understanding of the potential market locally to identify opportunities in national and local sectors for increasing accessibility of the CBS offer

  • Win business against a sales and margin target for all CBS products

  • Timetable and gain support in Marketing and seminar activity locally

  • Provide regular accurate forecasting information for total volume sales by product group and detailed information on specific large projects

  • Maintain good working relationships with local dealer personnel maintaining competence and commitment to Ergonomic Solutions products

  • Supporting sales through the Herman Miller sales channel

  • Networking with the Architect and Design (A&D) community throughout the region to increase sales opportunities

  • Target end users to grow new business opportunities and bring sales back into the dealer channel

  • Provide field training for dealer sales personnel in product and positional skills

  • Identify appropriate new dealers and develop these opportunities

  • Participate in induction training for new personnel sand new product training

  • Canvas business opportunities in person.  Identify, qualify and develop

                        

Job Requirement:

  1. Business related Degree or above 
  2. Successful new business sales experience of at least 3 years in related industry, preferably with some background in design led or ergonomic sales
  3. Experience of working for a multinational organisation
  4. Experience managing a team, preferably remote teams and with National-level responsibilities will consider for senior role
  5. Fluent in English and Mandarian.   
  6. Ability to effectively interact at all levels
  7. Must enjoy team work, but also be self motivated and able to work alone and be self sufficient
  8. Must be flexible to work long hours when required and undertake considerable travel throughout the region
  9. Must be highly literate in the use of IT systems
  10. Must be numerate in the preparation of quotations and forecast information
  11. Must be culturally aware
  12. Strong interpersonal skills
  13. Comfortable with autonomous and remote-based working, evidence of strong motivation

  14. Confident presenting and communicating at all levels

  15. Business development experience

  16. Interest/experience in related industry
