We are looking for candidate for the position of R&D Scientist to perform research in material and processing field. You will be part of the Hitachi ABB Power Grids Research team.

- Conduct R&D work in the direction of innovative composite material, insulation material, thermal management material, new processing technology, manufacture for smart device. Deliver technology for ABB Power Grid's next generation products.
- Communicate with business lines to clarify market expectation and identify project stakeholder.
- Investigate technical feasibility and develop new technical solutions in the lab.
- Collaborate and support all ABB Power Grids business lines.
- Living core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues, and the business.

- PhD or experienced MSc majoring in material or processing.
- Experience in one of the following areas is a strong plus: mechanical engineer, CFD simulation, data analytics, AI/ML.
- Solid knowledge background and abundant project execution experience.
- Capable to run project independently with excellent project planning, execution and management.
- Outstanding communication skill, ownership, and capability of analyzing for solutions.
- Self-motivated, result-oriented, willing to be an open-minded team player.
- Fluent English as working language.
