Responsibilities

* Streamline and automate the build/release process and tools for QA, staging and production for business continuity and reliability.

* Maintain and improve Maven build and release scripts for QA, staging and production.

* Work with development team to ensure the build process is serving the needs of the business.

* Plan and support day-to-day build/release schedule.

* Build and release for mobile applications to ensure the fast iterations.

* Architect the system and tools to run and monitor an optimized, on-demand build and deploy system across QA, staging and production.

* Troubleshoot environment issues

* Maintain the environments when requested with the latest release and configuration files, including environment issues troubleshooting.

* Excellent written and oral communication skills.

* Must have a great attitude and wear many hats.



Qualifications

* Solid hand-on knowledge of release engineering tools and processes

* Proficient with Maven, SCM, Hudson, Nexus, Puppet.

* Excellent Linux shell (Bash) and Perl or scripting skills

* 2+ years' experience using Linux desktop and servers



Requirements:

* Bachelor degree in CS or related field.

* 2+ years' experience in build/release engineering role for scalable, distributed, fault-tolerant applications, internet/e-commerce preferred.

* Working knowledge of HTTP, HTML, Java, SQL, and working with relational databases, with a preference for Oracle experience.

* Working knowledge of CSS, Javascript, and a scripting language like bash, csh, php, python, or perl is a plus.

* Good communication and interpersonal skills and ability to take on high level of responsibility.

* Must have working knowledge of Source control and bug tracking systems.
