Purpose of position:

The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire quality aspect at the site during the construction of PV power plant, the quality control at site inputs/outputs inspection & records, laboratory functioning & sampling, ensuring the construction is as per design drawings, project management requirement, ISO/IEC standards and industry practice.

Job Responsibilities:

1.    Preparation of the Project Quality Plans, Quality Control Plans, Quality Assurance Reports and Project Quality Procedures which guarantee compliance with contractual requirements and related ISO/IEC standards.

2.    Quality checking of site work, and performing inspection of the project material/components & checking/inspection the site execution work.

3.    Monitoring that proper quality standards are maintained at sites. Compliance to applicable manufacturing codes and implementation of site quality assurance plans.

4.    Shall need to initiate quality improvement activities and make suggestions at all levels at the site. Initiates and promotes all necessary corrective actions for any failure identified within project quality.

5.    Inspection at supplier’s works. Checking of contractor bills & dealing with government authority regarding site problems. Assesses the quality control plans of sub-contractors and identify any necessary corrective measures.

6.    Feedback on major problems, ensure corrective actions & ensure proactive approach to prevent mistakes.

7.    Supports the Project Manager in preparation of all the required project management procedures and documents.

8.    Ensures contract review and project close out are adequately performed.

9.    Provides the necessary back-up to the Project Manager regarding contractual issues relating to quality both during tender and project execution phase.

10.  Provides periodical analysis of project issues (NCs-Non Conformity, complaints and lesson learnt). Monitors adequate close out of NCs- Non Conformity and events.

11.  Overall responsible for meeting the customer satisfaction by implementing QMS monitoring the site activities to avoid non-conformances regarding quality.

12.  Resolution of quality related problems at site with concurrence of client. Conducting the management review meetings at site for resolution of problems at site.

13.  Follow the laboratory testing and preparation of quality control reports.

14.  Client co-ordination & cost control.

15.  Any other reasonable duties assigned by the line manager.

Qualifications & Abilities:

1.    One to three years’ experience in site quality control position of PV or energy industry

2.    Electrical engineering, electrical and mechanical, industrial automation, photovoltaic or other related bachelor or above

3.    Willing to travel outside

4.    Skilled use of MS OFFICE

5.    Good oral and written English

6.    Excellent communication skills and team spirit
