Construction Assistant Manager

• Department: Construction Dept.    
• Reporting To: Construction Manager

About the Role:

The position is to help construction manager for the overall planning, coordination, and control of a construction project from beginning to completion. Coordinate department projects, compile and communicate information for construction manager. Facilitate and communicate with International Dept. and vendors to organize information, as well as to resolve issues

Key Responsibilities:

·         Project management planning. This initial stage is to assist the manger to involve laying out a plan for the entire project, including the various jobs that need to be done, the materials required and a timeline

·         Cost management. Construction assistant managers must constantly keep tabs on costs, making adjustments if unexpected issues or complications arise

·         Contract administration. Lengthy contracts with the vendor are part of all construction projects, and work with our legal team to ensure all of the contract provisions are being met and all parties are satisfied

·         Coordinates activities of departments to obtain optimum efficiency and facilitates interdepartmental cooperation

·         Develops and implements policies and procedures for construction manager and upper level managers

·         Facilities Management and premises maintenance

·         Coordinate cross-functional Taiwan activities to ensure successful delivery of new projects

·         New site & project budget set-up and coordination

·         Develop standard format for building and, electrical and mechanical

·         Learning New format specification and standard set up

·         Get & find new detailed information about construction skill at Job site

Key Requirements:

·         Basic in written and verbal English language skills required

·         Knowledge or experience of Construction Management and Electrical and Mechanical Engineering related.

·         Have certified MEPF related engineer license

·         Experience of construction and building permit application and local government coordinate experience

·         Knowledge of and experience using AutoCAD, and other similar basic engineering software

·         Must possess a strong sense of urgency, able to prioritize/multi-task

·         Have 10+ years China and international construction management work experience

·         Positive, dependable, professional attitude, ability to remain calm under pressure and tight deadlines
