Duties:

? Able to install and configure Linux/Windows operating systems and VMware/Hyper-V/Xen virtual hypervisor, associated disk/HBA/NIC devices and OS patches on an open host.  

? Test and debug disk device/path behavior and drivers on System hosts by following an existing test plan.  

? Have the ability to identify deficiencies by comparing documented test results to actual test results, follow troubleshooting methods, and be able to isolate and capture failure data relating to log entries and driver debug output. 

? Write white papers or solutions guides. Install and administer multiple systems/environments

? Configure several of the EMC or 3rd party vendor products deployed in the test configuration (i.e. switches, arrays)

? Performs other duties as required

Education: 

BS in Engineering Degree or Equivalent

0-1 year relevant experience

Skills: 

? Candidate must be self-motivated and able to work well in a team environment. 

? Candidate must be a quick learner with great passions and able to work under pressures.

? Demonstrate written and verbal communications skills as well as organizational skills are required for interaction with other engineering groups inside and outside of the eLab organization and the company. 

? Problem identification, analysis, summary, methodical error analysis, follow-up and the ability to learn and apply new tools and applications are important parts of this position.  

? Knowledge with Linux/Windows OS and VMware/Hyper-V/Xen installation/administration

? Working knowledge with appropriate networks, products and protocols.

? Understanding of data storage / data center environment.

? Fluent English is a must.

? Basic Project Management skills is a plus.

Experience:

0~1 year of hands-on experience and technical knowledge of the following:

? Familiarity with installation/use of Linux/Windows 

? Familiarity with installation/use of VMware/Hyper-V/Xen

? Familiarity with OS patch installations and firmware upgrades

? Familiarity with native file systems

? Familiarity with SAN concepts and Host-SAN connectivities (SAN switches, zoning, LUN masking will be a plus.

? Working experience with various protocols (TCP/IP, FC, iSCSI, FCoE) is a plus
