The Software Engineer is responsible for:
? Receiving specifications for software development tasks and converting these specifications intovalidated software which matches the specification
? Executing specific & general assignments that establish the feasibility ( and implementation) of innovative, functional product concept designs;
? To design, develop, validate, document and manage new software introductions.
? Continuing improvement and support of existing products with the emphasis responsive, bug free software.? Active participant in providing input to the risk management process and ( when trained ) form part of the risk analysis of change(s) according to EN 14971
? To apply technical skills to projects, participating in the design, development, construction and testing of new products and improve existing products.
? Ensuring that all the work undertaken conforms to Quality Assurance Procedures, Medical Device directives, Design Guidelines and any other relevant protocols.
? Evaluate and identify new technologies to provide cost effective and innovative solutions to new product development.
? To apply software design expertise to the analysis of products and proposals.
? To manage and take ownership for sub-projects as required and deliver solutions on time and within budget.
? Initiating investigations such as root cause analysis and corrective actions.
? Validation and verification of new and existing products, providing support documentation.
? Software testing and quality assurance; support, maintain and document software functionality.
? Field fault diagnosis and reporting;providing technical expertise and training to Service Engineers on using software diagnostic tools and product functionality.
? Specify and design test equipment and fixtures, develop testing procedures and specifications to support product and project objectives.
? Liaise with Project Planning and Project Management.


Qualifications:
Education:
? B.S. Or M.S. Degree Or Equivalent External Experience
? Major in Software Engineering or other relevant education background.
Language:
? Excellent English, both in oral & written
Experience:
? Ideally technically qualified to degree level.
? Minimum4yearssoftware development experience.
? Medical/healthcare industry preferable.
? Good documentation capabilities and presentation skills.
? Strong interpersonal and organization skills.
Knowledge:
? Knowledge & understanding of medical regulations & their impact on business, including but not limited to ISO13485/FDA QSR& GMP
? Understand the requirements of design control; familiar with Design Verification/ Validation, FMEA, DFM;
? Experiencing in using software control technologies ( e.g. Source safe)
? Embedded coding experience in C, and assembly and experience of using
? MPLAB and Microchip micro controllers,
? Intel 8051 derivative processors
? ARM & 8-32 bit micro controllers.
? Strong working knowledge of electronics and interfaces
? Ability to use Oscilloscopes, electronic test equipment etc.
