职位描述
Responsibility:
Product Line Growth
·Through global input, define product features/specifications to support market preference on new product ideas
·Conduct new global product needs analysis in conjunction with product marketing
·Work with product/solutions marketing teams to ensure alignment with identified new product opportunities
·Own strategic (product/technology roadmap) and financial justification (product cost) for new products
·Provide new product requirements based on market needs to development team, and validate product design meets requirements.
·Working in conjunction with Product marketing, co-develop a business case that meets the requirements of the integrated stage gate process
·Working with marketing and pricing, develop book price, and support the development of solution price, and SPA strategies, based on competitive, market, and regional knowledge
·Own decision making and pricing strategy on any non-standard products
·Determine stock plan and set-up new product part numbers
·Develop the technical enablement tools to support the global launch plan
Develop action plan to address issues identified through global product launch feedback, as required
Existing Product Support
*Provide global technical support of assigned products within the product line, troubleshooting technical issues and developing training for customers
*Identify and execute any product, market, and profitability improvements
*Monitor product line sales and trends; work with Product Marketing to develop corrective measures when necessary
*Own the creation of product spec sheets.
*Create a product-level sales forecast
* Manage global product obsolescence
* Implement and support a global inventory strategy
Responsible for Track 2 logistics management by optimizing products, managing risk, and monitoring supply chain and inventory
Technical Landscape
·Participate in global standards committees, as required
·Expert in understanding global competitive products and offerings, including technical applications and future trends to successfully adapt products and create new product offerings to meet market needs
·Monitor and understand global competitive patents and Panduit product line patents. Identify apparent patent infringements and communicate as necessary
Produce necessary technical collateral, (i.e. white papers, CPI, and Tech bulletins) to be seen as technical thought leaders in the market
Customer/Partner Intimacy
·Maintain consistent contact with lead users and strategic customers and partners to understand market trends, customer requirements, and to exercise empathic design principles
·Participate in leading industry functions such as trade shows
·Translate opportunities into revenue growth
·Support Panduit Sales Teams with technical product knowledge through EBC support, training, etc., as necessary
·Work with quality team to address customer concerns and competitive threats
·Manage supplier relationships on OEM'd products, if applicable
Maintain high level of customer intimacy on pre-engineered custom products, as necessary
Requirement:
Bachelors in Engineering required. MBA preferred.
Typically requires a minimum of 5 years Product Development
Ability to input, retrieve and transmit data up to 8 hours per day
Lifting up to 50 pounds 7 times per week
Ability to maneuver throughout a production facility up to 9 hours per day
Ability to travel to other Panduit, customer, and supplier locations both domestically and internationally
15-30% travel time offsite
