Regional Product Manager - Infrastructure
Report to: Products Director in USA
Location: Shanghai
Primary Responsibilities:
Product Strategy and Planning
· Responsible for understanding and articulating global product category strategic vision, Collaborate with solutions marketing and design control product management teams to ensure alignment with identified opportunities in region
· Participate in with the design control center and execute product category strategic plan for defined geography based on customer focused research and competitive analysis for assigned products
· Determine regional revenue projections
· Provide regional inputs into product published pricing
· Market segmentation, market share, sizing analysis for a defined geography
· Regional expert on competitive offerings, including conducting competitive analysis on technical capabilities, patents, and articulating results with design control center
· Provided regional inputs into product roadmap, including phasing and tiering, and technology assessment
New Product Execution
· Provide new product opportunities through regional market assessment and provide findings to design control center development team
· Provide inputs into, including financial evaluations, competitive and market analyses, customer needs, critical success factors, sales justifications, and other business case components, and sponsor regional business cases for defined geography
· Provide regional inputs into the flex gate process
· Execute regional product launches
Revenue and Margin Targets
· Monitor regional revenue and margins
· Monitor sales and trends, work with Solution Marketing to develop corrective measures when necessary, and evaluate win/loss trends in region
· Define "extend and defend" enhancements to expand market in region
Product Maintenance & Growth
· Monitor and determine key regional performance indicators for key product metrics
· Provide operational support for products in region, in particular to product quality, deliveries, promotional materials, inventory, product operations.
· Regional sales support
· Develop regional marketing collateral, such as technical collateral, (i.e. white papers, CPI, and Tech bulletins), used to develop external messages and support marketing in region
· Provide both internal and external product training in region as required; solutions, sales, technical sales engineers, end users, distributors, etc.
· Sponsor regional business cases for determination in non-standards
· Determine regional product transactional pricing
Requirements:
l Minimum 5 years related product management experience with tangible end-to-end ownership of product lifecycle;
l Bachelor degree in engineering, science or related technical field required.
l Receives little to no instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments
l Works closely with product design control center team(s) to develop and implement product strategy, influencing and supporting new product execution and driving revenue growth while supporting product lifecycle management.
l Experience in regional strategy development and execution, collecting competitive information and preparing summaries, product roadmap development;
l Experience in coordinating regional market research projects required to properly define new product requirements, introducing new products in region;
l Business and financial knowledge, analyzing sales and other financial data, increasing revenue;
l Technical/Application expert, experience in changing business plans based on performance metrics
l Ability to maneuver throughout a production facility and travels globally 20% to Panduit, Customer, and Supplier locations.
