Purpose of Role:

The role holder provides DC network design, implementation and support to help customers maximize network availability and functionality to achieve their business goals. Activities will include architecture assessment, design (both for high and lower level network solutions), deployment, support. The role holder will be "Cisco's face to the customer as a trusted adviser", working in a fast-paced, high-impact environment as a visible contributor delivering our commitments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advanced Services DC Network NCEs align and drive focused deliverables with customer's business strategy and objectives. NCEs will leverage and generate applicable technical, best practices and white papers.

• Performs and drives DC Network architectural, design and integration engineering for complex network infrastructure solutions. NCEs identify and document DC network design and architecture best practices.

• Build simulated networks in test labs to resolve problems and compatibility issues.

• In addition to an NCEs day-to-day customer activities, training and mentoring other NCEs will be required. NCEs own the responsibility for driving regional Advanced Services projects and customer-based project initiatives. NCEs will actively lead complex DC network design, performance engineering or problem resolution projects. NCEs solve complex, cross-functional technical issues that cross boundaries over many disparate products technologies.

Support Region:

• DC Network NCE need support APJC region (China, ANZ, ASEAN, Japan, etc.)

Skills/Experience:

• CCNP or equivalent expertise
• 3-5 years relevant experience in DC network engineering
• 2-3 years relevant experience in DC network project delivery
• Familiar with Cisco Nexus platforms and NX-OS
• Fluency in English

Below skills are considered as preference:

• Fluency in English or Japanese Language
• CCIE or equivalent ceritification
• SDN technology skill set: Cisco ACI, VMmare NSX, etc.
• Experience with programming languages used for scripting or automation of routine tasks (i.e. Python) is an advantage
