MAJOR DUTIES AND RESULTS:

    

    

1.            Supervision construction of temporary facilities, if so arranged by CM

    

2.            Establish communication channels and routine interface among JGC’s discipline supervisors, subcontractors, and client’s persons in-charge

    

3.            Direction for commencement of work to subcontractor

    

4.            Monitor performance of his subordinate staffs and action for remedial matters

    

5.            Superintend work activities of subcontractors per area and unit, and if necessary, take action for re-scheduling or counter measures to remedy the delay of the work or the deviation of requirement.

    

6.            Review and adjust the mobilization schedule of vender specialists.

    

7.            Superintend that all work activities at site are in execution in a safe manner and take action for remedying any unsafe work to the subcontractors.

    

8.            Expedite undelivered materials, equipment and technical documents.

    

9.            Compile work quantity accomplished by subcontractors for progress control.

    

10.         Initiate to prepare testing flow diagrams of piping systems directing Discipline chief of Piping and coordinating with Field Engineering Manager.

    

11.         Initiate to commence pressure testing of piping systems directing Discipline Chief of Piping and coordinating with client’s personnel in-charge, QC manager, Field Engineering Manager, Electrical and Instrument Engineer, and subcontractors.

    

12.         Initiate to prepare punch listing coordinating with Field Engineering Manager, QC manager, Electrical and Instrument engineers.

    

    

13.         Expedite testing and punching-out work.

    

14.         Preparation of supporting work for pre-commissioning work coordinating with Pre-commissioning Engineer.

    

15.         Superintend all closing-out work including testing of piping systems, supporting work of pre-commissioning work, and other clearance work.

    

16.         Assist Field Engineering Manager for handing over the unit and/or facility to the client.

    

17.         Prepare a report of construction execution

    

18.         Perform, other than above, whatever work entrusted by the Construction Manager in respect of construction work.  

    

    

PROBLEM SOLVING AND DECISION MAKING

    

    

This position is accountable for resolving of all technical problems of erection work on site.  Problems which may cause serious delay or deviation from original plans shall be discussed with Construction Manager (construction superintendent)

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

    

Bachelor’s degree of science and engineering and more than three (3) to five (5) for assistance / six (6) to eight (8) years of experience of construction supervising work in the oil and gas construction business
