MAJOR DUTIES AND RESULTS:

    

  

1. Receive “ Safety Induction Course”
2. Receive the instruction of the job to be performed as his duties from the Piping superintendent.
3. Receive the orientation of the field office function from Admin. Superintendent.
4. Receive the safety induction course from Safety Control Superintendent / Supervisor.
5. Review the latest status of “For Construction Drawings “and “Specifications For Construction “, and ensure that the same latest Drawings and Specifications are in use by the subcontractor, and if not make sure the subcontractor collects the latest issues.
6. Report of the document status to the Discipline Superintendent.
7. Attend meetings directed by Discipline Superintendent.
8. Monitor subcontractor’s work (refer to the Check List prepared at Construction Department) and direct for correction and report it to discipline Superintendent.
9. Check color coding or stencils for the pipes, fittings, valves and others based on the specifications.
10. Check angle and size of beveling portions by sampling inspection.
11. Confirm the spools and lines cleanness in accordance with “Built it Clean”
12. Inspect required inlet and outlet straight line length of orifice flanges and prepare inspection reports of them.
13. Inspect internal grinding surface of orifice flange and prepare inspection reports of them.
14. Check correct wearing of badges as "Qualified Welders".
15. Check welding points necessary for pre-heating instructed by the welding procedure specification.
16. Check drying of welding rods.
17. Check correct application of welding rods with the welding procedure specification
18. Check removal and cleaning of welding slug and spatter.
19. Check layers and throat thickness at fillet welding in accordance with the related specification(s).
20. Check size of shop fabricated spool pieces and position and direction of branch pipes.
21. Check progress of pipe rack, sleeper, structure and equipment erection works at site, and report it to the Senior Piping Supervisor as necessary information for preparing piping work schedule.
22. Check installation of temporary supports necessary for reducing stress to nozzles of equipment during piping work execution around equipment, especially rotary machinery.
23. Check correct use of brushes and grinding stones specified for stainless steel materials.
24. Check correct installation of the Globe, Check, and "Y" type Vales from the point of direction of flow in the line.
25. Check the Item No. and correct installation of the following parts from the point of direction of flow in the line:

                                                                                                        

Restriction Orifice, Steam Trap, Tee Type Strainer, Y" type strainer, Bucket Type Strainer , Control Valve , Oval Meter, Turbine Meter & Roter Meter

• Check the Item No. of following parts:

        

Spectacle Blind, Sample Cooler, Flexible Tube, Expansion Joint, Spring Hanger, Flame Arrester, Breather Valve, Temperature Instrument, Level Instrument, Orifice Plate, On-Off Valve, Safety Relief Valve, Level Gauge

• Prepare the Test Flow Sheets for lines.
• Check the test package readiness.
• Check correct connection and installation of the lines and equipment based on the Test Flow Sheets.
• Check the Chlorine Ion content, of test water as specified for stainless steel line(s).
• Check collect position of instruments.
• Check seal welding of the plug at the process, utility oil, or gas lines, in case of the line venting without valve.
• Check the cold set point of spring hanger and removal of shipping lock pin, and prepare the status list of it.
• Check removal of the shipping lock pin for expansion joint, and prepare the status list of it.
• Check removal of the temporary blind plates used for test and flushing, and prepare the re-installation status report.
• Check the installation of the restriction orifice. confirm the flow direction.
• Check the situation as an open or close of the spectacle blind plate(s) in accordance with the Pre-Commissioning Procedure.
• Check replacement of the permanent gasket by a new one.

                                                    

1. Coordinate interfacing work with other discipline supervisors
2. Attend inspection for QC and input the results of inspection daily, weekly and monthly into the computerized progress monitoring system provided by Employer.
3. Check the progress report prepared by the subcontractor and input the progress, daily, weekly and monthly into the computerized progress monitoring system provided by Employer.
4. Issue NCR ( Non Conformance Report) or any other type of defective report
5. Upon receipt of NCR or similar type of report from client, 3r party or authorities, identify and conduct corrective action supervising discipline supervisor or subcontractors
6. Punching and verification of the system punch
7. Regular status reporting of the above works to discipline Superintendent
8. Material inspection in prior to the commencement of the works, in compliance of the applicable drawings and specification.
9. Permit To Work (PTW) preparation, application and negotiation till successfully obtain the PTW.
10. Review and evaluation of JSA and any work permit prepared by subcontractors

Graduate of Mechanical engineering collage and more than 4 years of experience as Piping supervisor in the oil and gas construction business, with knowledge of piping drawings, P&I diagram, Line index, Specifications and Procedures, names and functions of piping parts.
