The Assistant manager, operations projects will work together closely with the Senior Director, operations on various tasks and assignments. The candidate is expected to be resourceful, flexible, pro-active and highly willing to learn new skills. His assignments include, but are not limited to, the following projects:

Evaluation and action plan to optimize the gateway booking process, including the alignment between procurement, pricing, operations and the gateway

• Establishment of a system driven vendor management setup to evaluate carriers and co-loaders

• Development of a pro-active airfreight import product management

• Special assignments during the integration process

• Other assignments as given by the senior director, operations

            

Airfreight export - Gateway process

  

• Booking process & allocation management through CW1

  • Consolidation through gateway

  • Visualization & system support, e.g. through drag & drop

• Allocation and revenue management

  • Full visibility on incoming shipments through CW1, BI

  • What shipments go on the consol for best technical achievements, which on co-loaders

  • Computed calculation of carrier tech rates (possibly through BI)

              

 

  

Air carrier – Professional vendor management

  

• Establishment of carrier & air co-loader KPIs

• System supported management of these KPIs

• Standardized performance reviews with the carriers

  • Gross performance (Total delivered performance)

  • Net performance (Carrier measurable performance)

• Implementation of review process through the procurement and gateway team

            

 

  

   Airfreight import product

  

• Build up a comprehensive overview over all inbound products

  • Carriers & Contracts

  • Tech rates & Ameta process

  • Gateways, Spot buys etc.

• Close cooperation with overseas on product promotions  

          

 

  

Hands on involvement in the Panalpina – DSV integration process, projects assigned for pressing topics

  

 

  

Other projects as determined by the senior director operations.
