Improve key financial metrics, devise measures to fundamentally resolve issues identified through high-level data analysis and formulate long-term solutions for automation in order to support financial decision-making by the management of Coupang. Identify issues and opportunities to improve the China Jikgu business performance through inciteful analysis of sale and operations data. Forecast the Jikgu business and provide advanced planning for the funding required to grow the operations.

    

    

Key Responsibilities:

    

    

DATA-DRIVEN ANALYSIS AND SYNTHESIS

    

Acts as program manager or owner for select key metrics. Regularly pulls and audits all relevant internal metrics and provides fundamental analysis of metric variance. Drives data-driven efforts to come to full explanations around root causes behind metric changes. Leads deep dives with dependent groups in coming to root cause. Strong competency of SQL and excel.

    

    

ISSUE IDENTIFICATION AND RELENTLESS FOCUS TO FIX

    

Lead in identifying and reporting issues. Escalation of issues to next level with full data support and implementation plan. Lead process to determine root cause and implementation to fix. Coordination with dependent teams on fixing issues identified.

    

    

INNOVATE AND SIMPLIFY

    

Identifies scalable changes to the team that automate the metrics reporting or any other inefficient operational process. Creates long-term solutions that automate or simplify processes. Establishes system or process requirements, drives prioritization, and manages implementation across multiple teams/categories. Works with internal technical, cross-functional, and tech teams to drive multi-system process changes.

    

    

COMMUNICATION

    

Creates documents that can be used for senior management discussion or report with little guidance from senior. Leads small-group, cross-team communications in a productive way to drive clear output. Coaches juniors to effectively prepare written documents including dashboard, reports, strategy document. Drive effective communication, with a focus on message driven, top-down communication in both written/verbal formats.

    

    

    

    

Basic Qualifications

    

• 10+ yrs of relevant work experience in financial planning & analysis.
• Chinese Mandarin fluency is required spoken, written, and reading.

    

· Strong excel and SQL skills.

    

· Proven ability to analyze large data sets and identify meaningful information.

    

· Ability to influence people both internally and externally to drive improvement in commercial and operational performance.

    

· A business partner able to challenge and support the business leader.

    

· Decisive and able to move with speed to implement ideas.

    

· A passionate self-starter, who feels ownership of the success of the organization.

    

· Ability to prioritize work and to find a way in a complex, fast-paced environment.

    

    

Preferred Qualifications

    

· Technology affinity and track record of employing systems to drive simplification and change.

    

· Working level language skills in either in English or Korean.
