Responsibility
Collaborate with FE team, Bedford team and CM team to review AML/AVL to define and identify Critical Components, Critical Suppliers, iRobot Customized Components to ensure same requirements at CM IQC and sub-tier suppliers.
Requirements
Collaborate with FE team, Bedford team and CM team to review AML/AVL to define and identify Critical Components, Critical Suppliers, iRobot Customized Components to ensure same requirements at CM IQC and sub-tier suppliers.
- Coordinate CM Supplier Quality Management and sub-tier supplier management to implement GQR /PQP/iRobot Specifications where appropriate.
- Lead to Qualify and Re-qualify the Critical and Risky suppliers to ensure the suppliers to meet the requirements of iRobot GQR and Engineering specifications.
- Interface with NPI team, Bedford team and CM team to identify CTQ characteristics of Critical components and control these CTQ by QCP/SPC/CPK to ensure compliance with engineering requirements.
- Perform regular audit to sub-tier suppliers, IQC /SQE of CM to ensure sub-tier supplier meet GQR, Quality standards (specifications) by drive sub tier suppliers fully implement Quality system approach and benchmarking with PPAP, APQP, MSA and PFMEA and SPC.
- Conduct periodical Sub-Supplier performance review by Scorecard , Monthly report review with FPY Yield , DPPM/DPMO, Pareto and actions, SPC/Cpk, Customer complaints/bugs , SCAR/8D , internal and external audit, CIP. Etc. when needed.
- Cascade down bugs /SCAR to Sub-tier supplier level to implement 8D/CAR to eliminate and reduce failures/defects related to assignable causes resulted from Sub-tier supplier.
- Cooperate with NPI, Bedford team and CM team to verify the FAI, and validate PPAP to those parts defined as necessary.
- Accountability for monitoring the performance and effectiveness of Incoming Quality Control /Supplier Management at CM.
- Participant in selecting the supplier and work with cross-functional team to provide professional evaluation from quality perspectives.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical/Electronics/Electrical Engineering or its equivalent with qualification in quality management.
- Minimum 3 years work experience in sizable multinational EMS or Automotive or Medical Equipment Manufacturing. 5 years work experience for quality engineer.
- Well versed with multinational corporation culture preferable.
- Good working knowledge in system/process control, reliability engineering, Aggressive for best quality.
- Thorough knowledge in ISO systems, TQM, LEAN, Six Sigma, quality systems requirements, compliance and quality certifications.
- Proactive problem-solving attitude, responsible and able to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, Problem-solving skills.
- Verbal English is a must.
