Key Objectives
Responsibility for the correct disassembly and assembly of chassis components, test parts, prototype components in prototype and series vehicles.
Independent management and implementation of workshop tasks.
Independent organization of technical support. Definition and selection of required test equipment, means of transportation and adequate manpower with corresponding technical expertise and personal qualification.
Concept for practical implementation of mechatronic systems in agreement with specialists and prototype build.
Responsibility for the technical workshop equipment (special tools, test and diagnostic equipment).

Major Responsibilities
-Responsibility to follow general compliance rules and work regulations, occupational safety rules and company guidelines. Responsibility for working time account.
-Responsibility for keeping deadlines, independent prioritization of tasks and conflicting schedules.
-Responsibility for the road safety of vehicles in use. Independent decision about selection of alternative components (type, assembly group) in case of non-availability of the given components.
-Detection of possible vehicle defects and measurement equipment errors by conducting plausibility checks of measurement results and analysis of the mechanical / electrical parts of the measuring chain. Installing, putting into operation and implementing fault analysis of mobile test equipment and running test rigs. Measurement and adjustment of chassis alignment with KDS test rig.
-Repatriation of components coming for instance from test sessions and press introductions. Identification of components according to assembly groups and their functionality and storage according to item code numbers.
Comprehensive and timely communication of technical changes.
-Independent communication and cooperation with process partner departments, exchange of experience, mutual support, optimization of workflows.
-Independent implementation of hazard analyses and generation of work instructions, procurement of necessary workshop equipment and tools for the introduction of new technologies (e.g. electric drivetrains, plastic car body, handling of CFRP - carbon fiber reinforced plastic).

Education / Degree
Senior car mechanic, automobile technician with additional electro-technical qualification.

Experience
4-6 years of professional experience in the automotive industry with thorough training, knowledge and skills in measurement equipment and test rigs.
4-6 years of profound knowledge as a car mechanic.
1-3 years of practical experience in the field of vehicle dynamics.
