Job description:
Role (Purpose of the job)
To support the Demand Planning function driving the activities, developments, performances follow up main KPI`s within JV`s APAC, interface to the Sales and Operational Planning and support communication with sales areas.
APAC Sales Order Planning is the hub between the sales organisations and Operations, ensuring the optimal balance between commercial demand for flexibility and production efficiency. APAC Sales Order Planning supports the sales organisation with supply issues and is driving performance and commonality in Planning, Order and Delivery process. APAC Sales Order Planning develops and coordinates the Customer Adaptation offering process and framework.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist in consolidating sales areas forecast, demand request, order intake , order book, invoicing forecast plus pipeline and inventory levels against agreed targets
· Support demand plan creation for brands within all geographic areas of JV`s APAC
· Support to balance customer demand for flexibility with production efficiency
· Analyse performance and consolidate the S&OP process through networking and follow up on relevant KPI`s
· Coordinate the implementation of best practice as well as to support process improvement and system commonality in the process
· Coordinate and schedule demand challenge meetings according to the global S&OP calendar
· Perform other duties as assigned, including ad-hoc requests for special project tasks
Authority
· Following APAC policies and guidelines
· Following SOP process policies and guidelines
Key interfaces
·Japan Sales, Asia Oceania Sales, India JV and China JV
· Eventually EMEA and AMERICAS Demand Planning functions
· GTO APAC functions
Key performance indicators
· Sales and production forecast accuracy
· Inventory forecast accuracy
Main competence requirements
· University Degree (majoring on Administration/ Economics/ Information Technologies or related areas).
· Excellent analytical skills in the review of historic sales trends and demand drivers and based on this generate commercial demand plans
· Proactive attitude, good leadership and networking skills
· Experience developing report and presentations
· Demonstrating a reasonable level of knowledge about Volvo Group process and procedures
· Integrity and trust, in line with Volvo Way
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
· Excellent skills with Excel and Power Point
· Advanced English; Asian Language skills an advantage
