MAIN REPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES

In order to maximize the value of Upjohn products to Chinese patients within Upjohn’s vision and mission, External Medical Affairs Medical Education Manager is responsible for developing China medical education program within Pfizer Upjohn China business objectives and strategy. Provide state of the art medical expertise to assist business decision. Establish platform and channel with China academic organization in defined therapeutic area to delivery Pfizer Upjohn products message to key influencers and stakeholders. Build effective medical interface and provide professional medical training to support commercial teams to achieve their objectives, ensure the scientific validity and medical compliance of company activities.

For those the duties include:

-Develop medical education strategy under supervision and implement it to support product development in defined channel

Analyze and identify opportunity and external customer unmet medical needs to propose medical education strategy.

Transfer medical strategy into specific activities delivery to specific channel and implementation on plan.

Conduct regular communication with commercial partner and keep align with each other.

Develop and design projects with education objective, working timeline, key milestone, budget phasing, resource scheduled and the communication schedule with both internal and external stakeholders.

-Medical communication in defined field

Collect, analyze and report timely local KDM insights to input on product strategy and message development

Derive insight and plans to address patient outcomes from the healthcare perspective

Collaborate with KDM in better understanding unmet needs in medication care by facilitating meetings or trainings.

Set up nationwide Speaker database and keep medical communication with through various approaches.

-Organize and implement projects in national wide.

Alliance with Colleges or institution in the area of healthcare service education trainings to improve KDM professional capability.

Promote the standardization of healthcare management in different level health institutions.

Working with colleagues those are across functions to deliver the results and contribute to Upjohn business.

Timely deliver the project update to all stakeholders.

-External sustainable partnership management

Keep tracking and well managing the cooperative external partners in long term view.

Well manage the partnership with external resources. The partnerships will focus primarily on areas of practice improvement, quality and capability building.

-Ensure company’s medical compliance

Implement medical programs and activities within medical compliance

Communicate medical information with compliance

-Ensure timely SOP learning, and daily practice compliant with SOPs.

-Provide value added opinions for annual External Medical Affairs Strategic Plan and project development.

REQUIRED SKILL SET

-Technical

Therapeutic area knowledge: familiar with the disease and healthcare management knowledge

Good knowledge on company/industry policies/disciplines

Excellent interpersonal communication skills

Ability to handle multiple projects and basic problem-solving capability

Strong project management skills

Good English reading/writing

Computer or technical knowledge

-Education

Master degree major in clinical medicine or pharmacy area

-Experience

At least five years working experience in pharma industry/hospital

Working experience as a doctor/pharmacist in hospitals or medical department in pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
