The Accounting & Financial Reporting Manager, directly reporting to the Head of Accounting for the APAC region, leads the accounting personnel directly under their control, and is responsible for managing the performance of outsourced transactional accounting, coordinating audit activities for currently 6 legal entities in several countries throughout the region.

Responsibilities and Duties

Mission

·         SGRE CF FCA OAC APAC ensures that the financial statements of all reporting entities in the APAC region comply both with Siemens Gamesa’s group reporting as well as local accounting and reporting standards.

·         The Closing & Reporting Manager, directly reporting to the Head of Accounting for the APAC region, leads the accounting personnel directly under their control, and is responsible for managing the performance of outsourced transactional accounting, coordinating audit activities for currently 6 legal entities in several countries throughout the region.

Key Deliverables:

·         Provide expert knowledge to the entities’ Managing Directors and Business Unit contacts with regards to the accounting and financial reporting for significant financial statements positions.

·         Support the regional Head of Accounting with the implementation of projects such as the transformation of the accounting organization, the outsourcing of transactional accounting services, the roll-out and changes of ERP-system and the Local Entity Consolidation in the APAC region.

·         Support operational activities in Project Accounting and General Ledger through approvals and advice.

·         Liaise with transactional accounting service providers for processing of accounting documents, period-end closing and document processing issues

·         Perform regular analysis and reviews of the financial statements to ensure the correctness and accuracy of the reporting entities’ books and records.

·         Execute Internal Controls in accordance with the entities Internal Controls Framework.

·         Liaise with Tax and Treasury to ensure compliance with applicable local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

·         Ensure implementation & adherence to Siemens Financial Reporting Guidelines (IFRS), local GAAP and other internal guidelines by SGRE at the entities accordingly. Communicate to other departments the common understanding and correct usage of the Siemens Financial Reporting Guidelines.

·         Drives the monthly/ quarterly/ yearly closing and reporting process for all stakeholders as per the scheduled timelines.

·         Analysis and review of significant financial statement positions to validate compliance with accounting and reporting standards and definition of adjustment entries.

·         Review reconciliations and ensure timely and accurate clearing of reconciliation items.

·         Coordination of financial audits at the entities.

·         Leading the design, implementation and execution of accounting and financial reporting related internal controls.

·         Collaboration within the SGRE CF FCA OAC community to ensure group-wide consistency in the application of accounting and reporting standards.

Qualifications

·         Certified Public Accountant / Chartered Accountant.

·         Ability to prioritise, and to coordinate and motivate staff.

·         Ability to present complex matters in a concise manner.

·         Experience with accounting for project business and working knowledge of Tax and Treasury.

·         Self-educating, deadline driven and solution oriented.

·         Strong SAP and Excel skills.

·         Willingness to travel.

·         8+ years working experience.
