PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform the system administration and management of company server and storage systems as is appropriate for the platform being serviced.
• Provide daily operational support for computer systems managed by IT Operations
• Focus on global server environment vulnerability scanning and mitigation to keeping the secured, stabled IT environment
• Perform troubleshooting and problem resolution activities for company computer systems.
• Ensure that the above computer systems' hardware and software are maintained to a high standard according to GMP and Computer Systems Validation requirements, where and as, applicable. (Includes SOX compliance).
• Perform performance analysis and tuning of the computer systems managed by the organization.
• Perform Analyst On Duty function as required
• Write Installation Qualification (IQ) documentation as is required to deliver qualified infrastructure system platforms.
• Perform Installation Qualification functions as required to deliver qualified infrastructure system platforms.
• Performs necessary system backup and restore services.
• Performs system monitoring & response services as required to maintain the full service capability of company computer system platforms.
• Adhere to company change management processes so as to deliver operational services as described in Service Level Agreements.
• Adhere to company standard policies and procedures as defined for the SPX IT infrastructure organization to deliver efficiencies and best practices across the organization.
• Work in support of IT architecture and engineering guidelines and roadmaps for the delivery of technologies that meet business needs and ensure these solutions are supportable.
• Follow company policy and complies with SPX policies to ensure that the employee and the company act legally and with the highest standards of confidentiality, ethics, and integrity.
• Lead projects or approved work efforts in the performance of approved platforms portfolio.
• Expected Travel: Less than 25%

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Excellent knowledge of IT infrastructure including, but not limited to, servers, data fabric networks, storage, monitoring and related middleware products.
• Strong technical skills in the areas of server hardware, operating system software, storage technologies, backup technologies, monitoring and management products, middleware software products, server to storage networking fabric.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• An ability to manage and address multiple demands.
• A sense of urgency, drive, and energy.
• Work well in a fast paced environment with the ability to deliver on time.
• Proven ability to operate to company standards of ethics and integrity.
• Flexibility and adaptability to operate in changing environments as needed by the business.

Required Education / Experience

• Bachelor Degree in related field or the recognized equivalent in work experience or self-study
• 5-7 years experience working in a large, multi-regional, corporate IT infrastructure environment with multiple IT technologies
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within a distributed team environment
• Ability to work 24x7 providing support
• ITIL Foundation Certification
• Fluent in both written and spoken Mandarin and English

• PMO experience
• Experience working in distributed, globally aligned IT infrastructure teams
• LANDesk experience
