Overview of Integration Engineering Services (IES)

NI Global Services – Integration Engineering Services is looking for an experienced Solutions System Engineer to work on automotive custom engineering opportunities that enable the sale of standard NI offerings such as ADAS Datalogger, ADAS Hardware in the Loop, Vehicle Radar Test System, Battery Pack Test System and Inverter Test.

The primary responsibilities of this position are to work with NI customers, sales personnel, engineering, and alliance partners to define, document, design and deploy NI products tailored to meet specific customer requirements for large scale turnkey engineering solutions. The ideal candidate has experience and knowledge regarding NI products and system level design.

Key Responsibilities

·         Researching of NI new offering features and develop team capability in according application

·         Customer communication for requirements gathering, for example, generating requirements document and statements of work[MST1] 

·         Develop Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), assigning and tracking tasks in project and accountable for technical delivery including, specifying, designing, prototyping, testing, and deploying turnkey test solutions, including software, hardware, and fixture design

·         Escalate NI project bugs and new feature requires to BU and R&D [MST2] 

Technical Responsibilities

·         Integrate NI offering into a turnkey test system based on customer’s test requirements.

·         Test software development based on LabVIEW, TestStand, VeriStand, C/C#/C++ or others applicable software.

·         Software engineering skills for software architect design and quality assurance.

？  Travel at about 30% is expected, domestically and abroad in support of project objectives

？  Communicate customer requirements at customer sites

？  Support NI system development activities at customer sites

？  React to support urgent NI system issues at customer sites

？  Provide guidance and support to NI system operation at customer sites

  Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

·         Bachelor of Degree, major in EE or Vehicle Engineering

·         At least 5 years of relevant industry experience in Automotive OEM/Tier 1 or Test Solutions Company

·         Experienced in at least one of the following applications:

？  ADAS/Autonomous Driving Test

？  EV Battery Pack/Battery Cell/Inverter Test

·         Experiences in leading engineers in project[MST3] 

• Test software development based on LabVIEW, TestStand, VeriStand, C/C#/C++ or others applicable software.

·         Fluent English communication

Preferred Qualifications

·         NI product knowledge, such as LabVIEW, VeriStand, PXI modular instruments

·         Power electronical knowledge

·         Software engineering knowledge

·         Demonstrated ability to:

？  Take initiative, be a self-starter, and work independently,

 [MST1]Collaborate with NI Offering Manager in providing new services while developing team capabilities in supporting these applications for example ADAS Datalogger, ADAS Hardware in the Loop, Vehicle Radar Test System

Communicate with customers to gather requirements for example Statements of Work

 [MST2]Communicate NI project requirement changes and issues such as bugs to relevant department - R&D and BU

 [MST3]Experience in leading a technical team in project
