Senior Software Test Engineer

Description

Nokia Lumia Application Software Quality has openings for Sr. SW Test Engineers with expertise in Quality and Testing. This person will be accountable for planning, executing and analyzing the results of testing on mobile application projects, collaborating closely with the Applications Test Manager, testing teams and Engineering teams.

If your nature is to have incredible attention to detail; a willingness to demand the best quality for the final deliverable; and are able to utilize test and quality resources where they can produce the best results, then this just might be the role for you!

Accountabilities:

·Responsible for quality for one or more mobile applications, covering all needed test areas

·Uses different testing methodologies to verify mobile application quality for meeting product requirements and creating the optimum user experience

·Conducts both automated and manual testing of applications, as required

·Plans and executes testing following agile principles (such as SCRUM)

· Performs test asset creation, test execution, error reporting, analysis and reporting on testing outcomes

Qualifications

·M.S. or B.S. degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience

·Strong experience in SW testing with minimum 5 years of work experience in Quality

·Proficiency in, at least, one modern programming language such as C++ or C#

·Experience with Test Tools : Quality Center, Bugzilla and/or Accept360

·Former experience with automated test frameworks and conducting testing using them

·Test planning and test assets creation for mobile applications, functional and non-functional testing (power management, memory management, reliability)

·Strong understanding of agile testing & methodology

·Superior communication skills; excelling at working both independently and on a team

·Prior Testing or Quality Assurance role in a mobile/embedded environment

·Fluency in Chinese and English is a must
