The Assistant Manager who succeeds in this role will be a highly organized, analytically-gifted thought leader with team supervisory capability; the role requires a solid understanding of recruitment operations, processes, business dynamics and goals. This role will support Recruitment Manager to lead the recruitment team in north region supporting Disney English and the Disney Stores to success through effective planning, process improvement, delivery of quality hires against business requirements, and ongoing excellent client and guest communication and satisfaction. The Assistant Manager will have the ability to apply knowledge of employment law, compliance requirements and company policy in day-to-day decisions that not only ensure a positive candidate experience but also uphold our Disney service standards. The Assistant Manager must provide good leadership & coaching to a team of seasoned Recruiters. The role will require flexibility and the ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, holidays and special events.
Responsibilities · Develop plans and lead a team of recruiters to deliver highly talented and qualified Cast on time.
· Lead and coach the team with their day-to-day/project work deliverables and assist them in managing their workload effectively
· Ensure training, development and educational opportunities for your team are based on role/skill expectations and identified performance gaps
· Deploying/utilizing resources to ensure attainment of weekly hiring goals
· Ensure the delivery of positive applicant experience through effective management of the recruitment operation
· Handling applicant concerns and providing timely follow-up
· Assisting with interviews and other Recruiter responsibilities as needed
· Monitoring all aspects of operation including regular reviews of process, system, and Recruiter performance through reporting and interview shadows, and solicitation of feedback
· Building and maintaining strong job knowledge of the Business
· Actively stay informed of hiring plans, updates, adjustments, and client concerns
· Proactively communicating to internal and external clients
· Leading participation in Recruitment Team activities (e.g., job fair, off-site recruiting activities, etc.)
· Complying with all Company and Country legal codes, policies and guidelines
Basic Qualifications · At least2 years supervisory experience
· 2-3 years of related recruitment experience (in a recruitment role, or as part of their job responsibilities)
· Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience
· Demonstrated good judgment and critical thinking skills
· Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate others and to create a strong team-oriented environment
· Ability to provide direction and/or feedback in timely, fair, courteous, and constructive manner
· Demonstrated strong verbal & written communication skills
· Demonstrated organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
· Ability to multi task and work in a very fast paced & dynamic environment
· Ability to drive work and lead others to ensure business results and goals are met
· Demonstrated ability to own and resolve Applicant situations
· Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key clients
· Strong systems knowledge and demonstrated computer skills
· Proficiency in Mandarin and English Required
Preferred Qualifications · Prior Recruiter experience
· Prior Operations experience (Retail industry or comparable)
· Prior knowledge and understanding of Casting metrics/goals
· Working knowledge of SAP and Kenexa or other applicant tracking systems
Required Education BA or BS in HR, Hospitality or Operations related field strongly;
