Compuware Gomez Network Operations Engineer

Compuware Gomez is looking for an NOC Engineer for our China based Network Operations Center. This position will be responsible for maintaining high availability and uptime for the world's premier SaaS based Application Performance Management suite of technology.
As our first line of defense, you will monitor systems and validate alerts using an array of custom monitoring tools to:
· Perform first-tier troubleshooting to resolve system and network performance and issues.
· Problem ticket creation, processing and queue management
· Coordinate and implement network software and hardware upgrades with the Network Operations and Development teams.
· Install operating system patches and perform product upgrades.
· Work with co-location facility staff and major internet backbone providers to identify and resolve Client affecting network, hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
· Proactively work to refine documentation of system troubleshooting guides, policies, and procedures.
· Work closely with the US Based Network Operations team and Support Engineers to ensure maximum uptime of our systems.
· Escalate all issues to documented escalation matrix
· Provide timely feedback on process/procedural improvements and operational inefficiencies
· Complete tasks required to maintain service levels and availability of all features and function


Experience Needed:
· Knowledge of TCP/IP and other Internet protocols
· Solid background in the administration of Windows-based servers and networks.
· Experience with Windows 2003/2008 servers, IIS 6.0, SQL Server, or other web services.
· Demonstrated strong troubleshooting skills.
· A keen analytical and structured approach to problem solving.
· Willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong communication skills.
· Excellent documentation skills.
· Proven ability to work independently.
· A dedication to customer satisfaction.

· Tuesday through Saturday - 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM/2:00 PM to 10:00 PM (Beijing)
· Schedule flexibility with ability to work non-standard business hours
Shift Information 2
· Tuesday through Saturday - 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM/6:00 AM to 3:00 PM (Beijing)
· Schedule flexibility with ability to work non-standard business hours
Desired Skills
· Fluency in English
· Familiarity Compuware Gomez toolset is a plus.
· Linux OS experience is a plus.
