The candidate will be responsible for:
? Fundamental analysis and writing reports on listed or unlisted companies and industries using primary and secondary sources
? Conduct field investigation about industry, market, business and financial information.
? Communicate with company management to obtain information regarding the company.
? Provide support to senior analysts in data search for their projects.
? Others: Collect news and summarize and provide value-adding analysis, prepare charts, tables and databases.
? Any other investment analysis related work.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATION:
? An education background of MBA or equivalent is a must, with a major in finance or accounting.
? 1-2 years experience in Equity Research (involving financial modeling and report writing), preferably in a securities company or equivalent
? Familiarity with China stock market
? Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power point
? Strong communication skills. Should be proficient in written and spoken English and Cantonese preferably with Mandarin
? Involvement in the CFA program is a plus.

KEY SKILLS:
Quantitative/Technical skills:
? In-depth understanding of financial statements Income statement, Balance sheet & Cash flow statement and the accounting relation between them.
? Detailed understanding of notes to accounts.
? Candidate should be able to read and interpret financial statements and analyze business and financial data, through ratio analysis or valuation analysis.
? Make basic excel based valuation models
? Write in a logical, analytical and structured manner so as to require minimal re-work
? Write bulletins, one-page summaries and sections of thematic reports/initiation reports in a crisp and punchy style. Link macro/ industry analysis to the output

Additional requirements:
? Should be able to travel to Hong Kong frequently
? Should be able to deliver output to the client with minimal reviews from Team Leads
? Should be self-driven and motivated for work with minimal micro-management needs
? Prior experience in handling client relationship would be an add-on
