Position summary:
The Biomarker and translational research group leads translational research, biomarker identification and companion diagnostic development for BeiGene oncology pipelines.
We are looking for a highly talented and motivated bioinformatics intern to work with senior scientists to support biomarker discovery and validation.

You Responsibilities:
?Deploying robust workflows, as well as custom scripts, to analyze high-throughput data, with emphasis on RNA-Seq/ExomeSeq/Panel Sequencing.
?Participate in the data mining of proprietary and public biological data/database to generate novel hypotheses or insights.
?Participate in the design and maintenance of biological database (NGS data etc).
?Follow sound scientific practices and maintain effective documentation of activities and analyses.
?Commitment of at least 3-day onsite attendance for each week.

Qualifications we look for:
?Educational background is flexible and will be considered based on experience and qualifications.
?Master’s or Ph.D degree candidate enrolled in an accredited university/college program.
?Bachelor’s degree candidate in senior year with an excellent background and relevant experience.
?Particularly, newly graduated Master/PhD that have relevant experience could be considered as Consultant.
?Major in bioinformatics/computational biology/genomics or a related field with understanding of biomedical research.
?Programming and scripting abilities in R, and comfortably working with Linux system and server/cloud computing environment.
?Experience in analyzing high throughput biomedical data (RNA-Seq, Exome-Seq and Panel sequencing) is a plus, including data cleaning, functional annotation, normalization, analysis, interpretation, and visualization.
?Statistics and math background are desired but not required.
?Experience in Rshiny development is highly preferred.
?Self-motivated and enjoys teamworking within an international team and dynamic environment always with timeline in mind.
?Fast and passionate learner who enjoys new challenges.
