Budget responsibility:

Working in CIB, this role will be responsible for overall tax operation and reporting, tax risk identification and mitigation, adequate tax planning to ensure optimal tax structure. Provides professional advice and consultation on corporate tax, VAT, consumption tax etc and ensure the company’s compliance with tax laws. The major responsibilities are as below:

- Supports the BU FC when relevant by providing insight on the tax position of CIB and the tax implication of all projects

- Makes tax planning to minimize the expense in conjunction with CNO tax department

- Monitors the tax structure and makes recommendations for changes to optimize the tax position

- Analyses the new or changed tax legislation/accounting standard to understand/communicate the impact on CIB

- Prepares the tax annual budget/quarterly estimate and uploads the HFM related tax forms

- Calculate the brand royalty

- Key focus will be CIT, VAT, CT

Personal qualifications / competencies:

1. At least 5 years’ solid working experience in tax area, Big-4 tax department + in house tax experience will be a plus

2. Familiar with latest tax policies and can execute tax expertise in an understandable and wining manner

3. Experience in manufacturing environment, MNC/FMCG exposure a plus

4. Good interpersonal skill, independent and can act as a bridge between BU and China tax department

5. Strong influencing power, ownership at work and be proactive

6. Good commercial senses and business acumen

7. Good command of both written and spoken English

Educational / minimum requirements:

University graduate in Finance/Accountancy or relevant professional qualification
