Roles and Responsibilities:

· Business Development (BD):

You will assist the local S&P representatives for clients and prospects in China. You will assist the Director and GM of S&P APAC to accomplish the following activities:

– Develop and maintain BD collateral materials (e.g. Capability Overview, Case Studies)

– Perform Proactive BD:

Research and generate list of targets or prospects for S&P advisory and/or BPM services

Request meetings with clients and prospects, assess specific client needs or pain points and propose solution aligned with IBPM capability and experience

Develop proposals and provide follow-ups until closure

Complete project delivery requirements including Contracting, Project Code creation, Resource allocation

– Perform Reactive BD:

Lead/facilitate response to Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP)

Participate in oral presentation

Provide follow-up responses until closure

· Consulting Engagement Delivery:

You will assume a Consultant team member role for assigned S&P consulting projects in China and other markets in APAC. The responsibilities include:

– Accomplish assigned tasks with minimum supervision

– Resolve day-to-day issues to ensure timely completion of activities per agreed workplan

– Provide status updates

– Create deliverables and ensure rigor, insights and quality presentation

– Capture intellectual capital from engagements to support follow-on BD opportunities

Procurement Competencies:

Strategic Sourcing: Experienced working in a cross-functional team in the execution of strategic sourcing methodology for the categories managed including spend analysis, sourcing strategies, competitive supply selection, supplier negotiation and transition planning

Category Management: Experienced in developing category management strategies and plans including category usage trends, supply market trends, make vs. buy analysis, category reporting, S2P processes and compliance management, day-to-day purchasing

Stakeholder Management: Experienced in understanding business objectives and support business units in achieving those objectives as appropriate and develop relationships as a trusted partner

Supplier Management: Experienced in defining supply management strategies and plans including supplier performance review, issue resolution

? Procurement Technology: Experience in assessing procurement solutions and implementation of solutions with focus on end-user experience and adoption

Work Experience and Educational Attainment:

A minimum of 5-7 years of management experience in strategic sourcing and category management

A BS/BA in business, sales, purchasing or engineering

Experience with Multinational companies (MNC) and/or Chinese corporate culture and change management

English and Mandarin language proficiencies a must; Korean and/or Japanese are a plus
