Responsibilities:
？Develop total should cost for all the major components of our product. Hereby taking into account not only material cost, but also equipment, tooling, labor, cycle times, and CAPEX.
？Build up the cost database and maintain the data from day to day basis to use within the organization to support our core processes.
？Support development of cost engineering into a core competency within Inalfa through adopting the should-cost approach as a standard way of working.
？Be part of the target costing process, to continuously reduce cost of our main product categories by providing target cost estimates for new or adjusted parts or subassemblies.
？Support Sales Design Team during quotation by providing should cost estimates or targets for the Bill of Material.
？Work with the Engineering department by developing Design to Cost as a core competence.
？Support operational improvements such as VA/VE, Change Management and product benchmarking.
？Support Project sourcing by providing should cost estimates that strengthen the negotiations.
？Support cross functional commodity team (Buyer/Engineer/SQD) in driving cost reductions (glide path), via supplier visits and audits, cost breakdowns and supplier development.

Requirements:
？Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering
？5-7 years relevant experience; preferably extend with 3+ years in Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Design and/or project management
？Knowledge of material category analysis, components cost, costing trends, engineering processes, and product development processes.
？Proven track record of collaborating between suppliers and internal product functions to drive best cost and quality
？Strong background in optimizing total cost of ownership through working with cost drivers, multiple data sources ad cost models.
？Strong understanding of the negotiation process
？Proven track record of collaborating between suppliers and internal product functions to drive best cost and quality.
？Able to read and understand engineering documentation
？Innovative thinker - able to quickly adapt to changing situations
？Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across functions and organizations.
