Primary purpose of role:

This role will support Merchandise Product Manager to deliver brand storytelling and high quality design across products, including coffee products, drinkware, gift cards, lifestyle products, packaging designs, etc. Contribute to brand image and achieve sales growth through consumer focused strategy with alignment to company business direction.

Key Accountabilities: 

1.Monitor design trends and gather competitive intelligence;

2.Generate concept and mood boards based on the input of product manager;

3.Develop design brief, create illustrations for products, packaging designs and gift cards;

4.Communicate with suppliers for design improvements;

5.Make sure designs’ good application on products;

6.Responsible for final art is accurate and complete;

7.Support product manager on sample approvals;

8.Support other design work of marketing team.

The Costa Coffee story began back in 1971, when two Italian brothers – Sergio and Bruno – arrived in London with a burning desire to make great tasting coffee a part of everyday life. In 1981 they opened the first coffee shop in the heart of London, from here the Costa family continued to expand across London, the UK and eventually the globe. There are now over 3,800 Costa Coffee shops in 32 markets, 8,000 express machines worldwide and over 3,000 Proud to serve partnerships in the UK.
Costa Coffee started its footprint in China in 2006 when the first Costa store was opened in Shanghai. Now there are over 500 Costa stores across China with several thousand Costa employees and partners dedicating to inspiring China to love great coffee.
