At Oxford Instruments NanoScience we design, supply and support market-leading research tools that enable quantum technologies, nano technology research, advanced materials and nano device development in the physical sciences. Our tools support research to the atomic scale through creation of high performance, cryogen free, low temperature, and magnetic environments. This is based upon our core technologies in low and ultra-low temperatures, high magnetic fields and system integration, with increasing levels of experimental and measurement readiness.
We are looking for an experienced territory sales engineer to grow the revenue of our NanoScience product portfolio by developing a strong regional network of customers, distributors and agents for the Asia Pacific territory. This is a role for the NanoScience business and is a great opportunity for growth and success.
The Role
· Generate the appropriate level of sales activity and achieve agreed financial targets within the territory.
· Negotiation and closure of orders.
· Identify new business opportunities and take appropriate action.
· Follow up any new enquires promptly and efficiently.
· Build and maintain relationships with our customer base through regular travel and site visits.
· Maintain contact with Asia Sales Team Leader, ensuring that they are kept aware of progress.
· Work with sales and marketing teams to provide feedback on our competitive position in the market and product/market intelligence.
· Attend shows and exhibitions as necessary.
· Report on sales and market issues via the CRM.
· Work with service team to provide fast and professional response to customer issues.
· Participate in training and development activities as required.
· Project a professional and competent image of Oxford Instruments and its products at all times.
· Operate at all times in accordance with health and safety at work legislation.
· Undertake any other tasks or responsibilities in line with the scope and level of responsibility of the post which might be reasonably required.
The Candidate
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
A degree in materials science, engineering, or related field.
Experience in similar industry and Academy on Superconducting Magnet and Cryogenics
Ideally will have worked in a role with a similar customer base and product range/capability
Excellent people skills and the ability to clearly and effectively communicate and understand technical concepts and solutions in person, in writing, and over the phone to both customers and colleagues with all different backgrounds (technical, commercial, etc).
Skilled at growing business networks, holding respect of peers, clients and competition alike.
