RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Designs and analyzes mechanical systems, equipment and packages in accordance with design criteria and performance objectives.

• Work with a team of plastic parts, metal parts，sheet metal stampings, castings, rubber and elastomers.

• Apply sound engineering knowledge in the development of the products to meet stringent specifications.

• Directs support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing and prototype fabrication.

• Work with project team on design proposals, cost estimates and schedules to meet completion dates and technical specifications.

• Conduct functional, performance and environmental tests for new designs or modified existing designs.

• Responsible for cost effective design decisions.

• Maintain current knowledge regarding new developments and trends in applicable engineering field.

• Finish other related duties on time as assigned.

  QUALIFICATIONS

  Required:

• A bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering or

• At least 5 years design experience in product development to attain this level.

• product development experience, from conceptualization to prototyping, test and verification, and manufacturing at pilot and mass production levels.

• Demonstrated use of statistical tools in design selection, failure predictions, design optimization, problem solving, root cause analysis and verifications at all stages of product development.

• Experience and knowledge in injection molding/casting/sheet metal tools are required.

• Critical thinking and strong technical fundamental are required to make an effective technical decision. Thoroughly considers and reinforces quality in making decisions.

• Proficiency in mechanical design tools such as Pro/E. Knowledge of Pro/E modeling by incorporating design intent is required.

  Desired:

• Experience and skill set in infrared temperature measurement related is a plus, although it is not a must-to-have.

• Experience and skill set in design will be an advantage.

• Knowledge of IEC61010 standard will be an advantage.

• Fluent communication in both Chinese and English is a plus.
