Principal Java Engineer

Trust and safety team is to build the best e-commerce experience for our customers. We get hundreds of millions of products from sellers and we want to build a consistent experience by automatically detecting counterfeits and efficient operation and administration system. We are using machine learning to develop models to detect counterfeits automatically, together with humans to apply their judgment only when necessary, and build system for operator to detect and process counterfeits

Key Responsibilities: 

• Build scalable counterfeits detection systems that will have a direct impact on customer experience, conversion and retention

• Take full technical ownership for the whole life cycle of platform and system development, including architecting, implementation, deployment and maintenance

• Drive continuous improvement to the efficiency, flexibility and expandability of the platform and system

主导系统性能效率，可扩展性和灵活性的持续提升

• Work cross-functionally with product owners, data scientists, operator pro-actively and take initiatives for problem solving

积极主动和产品负责人，数据科学家，运维人员配合工作，主动承担并解决问题

• Conduct design and code review to ensure compliance with standards

执行设计和代码审核确保技术产出的质量标准

• Exert technical influence over teams, increasing their productivity and effectiveness by sharing your deep knowledge and experience

通过技能知识和经验分享等途径，对团队的工作效率和有效性等给予积极的技术影响

  

Basic Qualifications: 

•   Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field

计算机相关专业本科及以上学历

• 7+ years of professional software development experience

7年及以上软件研发经验

• Solid programming skills and expert in more than one programming language such as Java/Python/Scala

扎实的编程技能，熟练掌握一门以上的编程语言，如Java/Python/Scala等

• Proved complex system architecting and designing experience and rich experienced in distributed and scalable data processing/analysis platform and system development

成功的复杂系统架构和设计经验，丰富的分布式可扩展的数据处理和分析平台系统开发经验

• Deep knowledge on the technologies of backend engineering, cloud service, Hadoop/Spark ecosystem etc.

对后端，云服务，Hadoop/Spark生态的技术有深入积累和认识

• Comfortable working in an agile fast paced environment, and ability of problem solving and quick learning

能适应快节奏的敏捷开发工作环境，具备解决问题和快速学习的能力

• Hands-on experience in many disparate technologies, ranging from front-end through to back-end, data engineering and all areas related is a plus
