Senior Technical Executive

Role purpose

·      Support technical operations team to ensure that all Technical and Sales and Marketing teams operational needs are met across GC

·      Assist work with in-market (GC) Technical, Sales and Marketing teams to build strong relationships, identify and deliver sustainable value to customers and Fonterra

·      Utilise best practice management disciplines to ensure customer expectations are met and executed efficiently

·      Research and develop new application to follow nzmp China business strategy

·      Deliver customer technical servicing materials for the assigned GC Business Units to a high standard

Build and maintain trusting relationships with key customer technical / quality contacts

Role accountabilities

Technical servicing to customers

·      Lead day to day technical servicing activity across GC and contribute to customer acceptance of Fonterra as the preferred dairy ingredient/product supplier by developing and maintaining strong working relationships with internal technical stakeholders  understanding requirements and tailor application requirements to meet expectations

·      Provide technical input and ensure technical enquiries to be resolved in a timely, efficient and cost effective manner

·      Provide dairy knowledge training materials/ bakery application training to internal teams and customers via external facing teams as and when required

·      Support complaint management

Maintain & update technical knowledge & database

·      Assist in the management of technical application toolkits setting

·      Support on technical database and knowledge management, to ensure application and product information is available for internal teams and other product support information is updated and maintained

·      Provide materials to assist GC relevant teams in the education, to develop appropriate product knowledge and application skills

·      Provide technical updates to sales team to keep them abreast of major technical influences on current and potential product ranges

Build Technical Capability

·      Strengthen team members’ technical skills and proactively support business growth through operational efficiency

·      Motivate team members to generate innovative ideas and build a co-operative and interdependent environment within team to deliver more contribution to the growth of business.

·      Support peer technical executives’ work

·      Manage, coach, train technical interms to support technical team’s work
