PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:
1. To assist the Line Manager to manage, supervise, input or approve the department daily payment and settlement operations, ensuring that customers’ transactions are performed in a timely and accurate manner, within service level agreement, in accordance with regulatory requirements, guidelines and bank’s procedures.
2. Processing of the day-to-day Cash Management operations in China entity, comprises incoming, outgoing transfers, deposit placements, cheques and SD transactions
3. Ensure accurate and timely execution of Cash Management transactions
4. Knowledge of local regulations and international Anti-Money laundering guidelines pertaining to sanctions monitoring and compliance
5. Payment investigation & reconciliation experience
6. Deliver professional and reliable service to internal and external customers with a sense of urgency
7. Assist manager and/or Head of Back Office to ensure that the Bank’s policies, guidelines, control, regulatory, AML and compliance requirements are strictly adhered to.
8. Review and ensure Procedures are timely updated and staff comply with procedures
9. Ensure that areas of non-compliance if any highlighted by auditors and compliance officers are followed up promptly and staff are briefed accordingly to prevent recurrence
10. Provide training to staff, business units and customers as/or when necessary,
11. Review and ensure operational problems, complaints and queries are resolved promptly and satisfactory
12. Review new products and requirements with Business Units and set up procedures accordingly to ensure such delivery to customers
13. Assist the Line Manager on human resource planning, development and staff management, Sits In, Process Improvements and daily huddle.
14. Contribute to various process improvement and other projects as allocated.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Experience of 15 years in banking operations preferably in payments (local/Swift)
2. Reasonably sound knowledge
3. Local rules and regulations and market practise.
4. Past experience on projects linked to process review and /or with various project team to contribute towards operational requirements, testing and Change management.
