POSITION SUMMARY
Owner relationship manager is responsible for assure a healthy relationship between Club Med and Owners for the APAC resorts under management contract. She/he is primarily responsible for facilitating the execution of hotel projects through the whole resort life cycle (starting from pre-opening period to the end of contract), by keeping good communication with Owner, sharing necessary information, coordinating with different departments and marshaling appropriate functional resources to make sure project operate under a good and smooth relationship between Club Med and Owner.
Job Scope
- Work with each department to define the standard process/procedure with Owner
- Keep smooth communication with Owner by regular meetings, letters, updates…
- Mobilize and align internal resources to meet Owner’s reasonable expectation.
- Translation for written/Oral communication.
- Propose and find solution under the conflict with Owner for various subject to optimize Club Med’s interest while maintaining a long term cooperation with Owner.
- Coach & Facilitate on-site team’s communication with Owner’s rep.
- Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
- In event of crisis, mobilize Owner to support operation team for various need.
- Identify the potential risk in the relationship with Owner or in the project itself, highlight to high management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders (both internal and external) in order to effectively influence business decisions and optimize overall work effectiveness; involve various constituencies in problem resolution and increase their involvement in the process as appropriate.
- Improve and apply all Standards Operating Process in order to clarify and standardize each topic concerning Owner mentioned in Management Agreement.
- Ability to understand, help and support into renegotiating contract / MA with Owner, if need according to HQ Management requested.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Key Talents and Experience
- Minimum 5 years operations and/or development/ or similar experience with a global hotel management company.
- Good level of English and communication. Active listener and good level of understanding and learning.
- Capable to work in a complex, very stressful, service-intensive, deadline-driven environment. Can be flexible for traveling and work over time.
- Knowledge and understanding of management contracts. Experience dealing with management agreements and owner issues.
- Possess knowledge of key development, legal and operational issues related to real estate or hotel operations fee etc.
- Open-minded. Demonstrated ability to formulate creative solutions to moderate business issues to mitigate risks and maximize shareholder value.
- Strong interpersonal skills; must be a successful networker, both internally and externally; role requires considerable liaison with multiple stakeholders and maintenance of considerable internal and external relationships.
- Solid negotiator; sells ideas persuasively; settles differences and wins concessions without damaging relationships; can be both direct and forceful while remaining diplomatic.
- Operates with a collaborative mindset to ensure that key stakeholders are considered; builds strong relationships to leverage information and insights to anticipate and respond to project risks; influences without authority; communicates well with project and other leaders; openly shares and does not withhold information.
- Ability to consistently make decisions in a timely manner sometimes with incomplete information and under tight deadlines and pressure; comfortable challenging organizational norms and accepted thinking to improve effectiveness.
- Responsive; ability to integrate and balance priorities, work activities and resources for the benefit of multiple key stakeholders.
Education and Professional Certification
- Baccalaureate degree.
- English speaker required.
LOCATION
This position will be based at Club Med APAC Corporate HQ in Shanghai and will require travel.
