The opportunity arises for VIAVI regional HR team to hire a HR Business Partner in Shanghai to support our various business groups in Shanghai, Shenzhen and Beijing sites, reporting to the Senior HR Manager based in Singapore. This is a strategic and hands-on role, requiring someone with HR experience in working with professional-level employees in China.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist business in managing workforce for given area, provide guidance, counsel/coaching, and translates business strategy into human capital needs
- Support and communicate VIAVI Everyday Development plan and play an active role in managing employees' development
- Support various Employee Life-cycle activities such as Onboarding, Probation Confirmation, Labor Contract renewal, Annual Appraisal, Performance Improvement Plans, Offboarding and so on.
- Responsible for recruiting for open positions by direct sourcing and working with external agencie
- Engage in Employee Relations issues and involve in investigation, advisory and resolution matters
- Be a trusted partner for employees and know the pulse of employees engagement through regular interaction and communications with employees
- Provide monthly payroll movement to the Payroll team
- Keeping abreast of local Labor legislations and providing update to Management on any impact of such changes to the Business
- Bachelor's degree with at least 5 to 8 years of relevant HR experience
- Must have experience as a HR Generalist in China, understand local Labor Laws and handling HR operations matters of local China employees
- Experience in Learning / Talent Development and driving Company Culture and Values is preferred
- Require competencies in nimble learning, strong collaborative skills and business acumens
- Experience working in a foreign-owned enterprise will be an added advantage
- Strong communications skills, with good command of English and Mandarin
- Able to travel occasionally as required
